Legions (2011 - 2015)

This project connects contemporary hand made weapons with ancient war melodies. These musical boxes have inserted confiscated weapons from places like Bogota and Tijuana, when the machines rotate they play war melodies like the Spanish conquest march or the British Empire war tune.

The connection created between the sounds and the objects which play the music, point at issues like war cycles as a constant throughout history and the resonance of social conflicts around the world.
